Wive admits she tried to poison her veterinarian husband with his own stash of animal drugs

What an animal!

A Wisconsin woman is facing more than 10 years in prison after pleading guilty to trying to poison her veterinarian husband with an animal euthanasia drug, according to reports.

Amanda Alicia Chapin, 51, has pleaded not guilty to a charge of wanton endangerment, alleging she stole powerful drugs from her husband and slipped them into his morning coffee. Fox News reported.

Chapin met 71-year-old Gary Chapin online and married him in March 2022.

His new wife quickly persuaded him to add her name to the deed to the house and to forge his son’s signature to obtain power of attorney.

Just two weeks after her name was listed on the deed, she began slipping the stolen barbiturates into her husband’s coffee, and waited three hours after her last dose in August 2022 before calling 911, the outlet reported.

After three doses, Gary Chapin fell into a coma and was rushed to hospital, where doctors discovered he had deadly drugs in his system and police began to investigate.

According to the outlet, Gary Chapin woke up four days later and promptly filed for divorce, while his son obtained a restraining order to keep his evil stepmother away from his ailing father.

Gary Chapin (71) met his wife Amanda Alicia Chapin (51) online and married her in March 2022. The wife then attempted to poison her husband with an animal euthanasia drug that her husband owned.

Amanda Chapin violated the order in September of that year by emailing a suicide note in a desperate attempt to win back her estranged husband.

“The only crime I have committed is loving you so very much,” the note read.

That didn’t work, and she was charged with attempted murder in the case, but that was reduced to first-degree manslaughter in a felony plea deal made in court on Friday.

Amanda Chapin will be sentenced on July 15 and faces up to 12 and a half years in prison, according to Law & Crime reports.
