The WNBA and the maker of the first over-the-counter contraceptive pill began a multi-year partnership Tuesday, with an official debut scheduled for next week’s 2024 WNBA Draft.

“The WNBA is committed to addressing issues that are important to our players, and expanding access to reproductive health care is one of our priorities,” WNBA Chief Growth Officer Cory Edison said in a statement. ” he said.
“It’s great to work with a partner who shares our values and truly integrates into the health equity efforts that our players are passionate about.”
As Breitbart News reported, last month Opil became the first oral contraceptive pill available daily without a prescription in the United States.
Websites operated by Amazon and Perrigo started Sales of Opil will begin on March 18th. Supplied in 3-month and 6-month quantities.
“Just as we are changing the role of the WNBA in sports and pop culture, Opill is changing the landscape of reproductive health,” Leila Barber, Perrigo US Women’s Health Brand Lead, said in a statement.
Opil will serve as an associate partner for the WNBA Draft next week in New York.
Together, they plan to hold events on college campuses across the United States to “celebrate those who are changing the game” and “raise awareness about OTC contraceptive options.”
