WNBA star A’ja Wilson roasts Aces teammates for photo op with Usher after disappointing loss

The Chicago Sky visited the defending WNBA champion Las Vegas Aces on Tuesday, and the Sky defeated the Aces to ultimately earn their 10th win of the season.

Shortly after the final buzzer sounded, several Aces players headed to their courtside seats to watch the game with music star Usher, much to the annoyance of A’ja Wilson.

The two-time league MVP was quick to slam her teammates for trying to get photos with the R&B sensation despite just coming off a disappointing loss.

While some thought Wilson’s comments were a joke, she didn’t miss the opportunity to pose for a photo with Usher.

She presented the player with her Ace jersey during the Super Bowl halftime show, after which Usher embraced the WNBA’s scoring leader, chatted briefly and posed for a photo with her.

Wilson finished with a double-double with 28 points and 14 rebounds. Jackie Young was the only other Aces player to finish in double figures.

The loss dropped the Aces’ career record to 16-8. The team won’t play together again until Aug. 17, as four members of the Aces will travel to Paris to represent the United States in the Summer Olympics.
