Fans attending the highly anticipated Indiana Pacers home playoff game were treated to a surprise appearance from basketball sensation Caitlin Clark.
Clark is the first player selected in the 2024 WNBA Draft and is scheduled to play a regular season game in the same arena as the Pacers next month. Clark received a standing ovation when he was introduced to the crowd and even threw some T-shirts to fans.
Before the start of the Pacers’ first postseason game since 2019, Clark stepped on the gas in a replica IndyCar and helped energize the raucous Indiana Pacers crowd.

At one point during Clark’s appearance, a fan asked her to fulfill a rather unusual request: an ultrasound signature.
Iowa NFL draft prospect says he can beat Caitlin Clark one-on-one.
The Indiana Fever shared a video of Clark smiling and signing an ultrasound photo.
Clark watched closely as the Pacers defeated the Milwaukee Bucks in overtime to take a 2-1 lead in the first round series. Clark didn’t speak. But during an on-court T-shirt toss with her new Fever teammates in the second quarter, Fever guard Erica Wheeler had a word for the crowd.
“Playoffs!” Wheeler said when asked by the team host about his goals for this season. “We want to do this, and we have the pieces. We want to look like this every night.”

Indiana hasn’t made the WNBA playoffs since 2016.
“Our goal is definitely to get back to our championship habits,” Clark said shortly after being drafted. “I’m very fortunate to be in an organization that really loves women’s basketball. … We have a lot of young talent on our team, so we just have to do our best to get back to the playoffs and win as many basketball games as possible.” That’s certainly a goal. ”
