Woman allegedly ambushed by home intruders shoots one in the head, killing him, and injures another in Philadelphia

Pennsylvania State Police said the woman was able to: shoot and kill One was a home invader and the other was taken to the hospital after being ambushed in a Philadelphia apartment.

According to police, the woman arrived at the apartment on the first floor of Chestnut’s tenement house with her boyfriend around 2 a.m. on March 29, and was apprehended by three armed men.

During a brief scuffle in which 13 shots were fired, the woman shot and killed two of the men.

One of the alleged intruders, a 32-year-old man, was found in his bedroom with a gunshot wound to the head and multiple gunshot wounds to the chest, and was pronounced dead at the scene. The second man fled through a back door and sought treatment for a gunshot wound to his shoulder at Mercy Hospital.

The victims said the intruders had disguised themselves as police officers before the altercation, and at least one of them had a badge-like object on a chain around his neck.

A 31-year-old man who went to the hospital was arrested, but police have no further information about the third person, believed to be the intruder, who fled.

Neighbor Aaron Allen told KYW-TV that the woman moved into the home with her family about a year before the incident.

“She doesn’t bother anyone,” Allen said.

“People are really mean. You never know what people will do,” he added. She “had her gun and she was probably trying to protect herself, but I don’t blame her.”

Another neighbor named Tressie Wilson said she has also been assaulted in the same area and the recent shootings have made her want to move further.

“It’s shocking. It doesn’t make sense,” she said.

“I’m closing myself off. I’m scared to go to work. I’m scared to go home,” Wilson added. “Now you’re scared to be in your own home.”

KYW reported that the woman has been cooperative with police and it is unclear whether charges will be filed in connection with the shooting. Police are investigating whether the woman knew the three men who allegedly attacked her.first report claimed The woman told police she didn’t know any of the men and didn’t know why they were in her apartment.
