Tyrone Nichelle Celestine, 22, allegedly opened fire on at least two motorists on Monday during the solar eclipse, claiming that “God” told her to do it.
new york post report Celestine was staying at a hotel in Holmes County, Fla., and told motel staff as he was leaving Monday morning that he was planning a shooting, police said. She reportedly said that “God” instructed her to do so.
She allegedly got onto Interstate 10 and began firing at the driver.

ABC News I got it.,”[Celestine allegedly] We hit the highway in the Florida Panhandle, 115 miles from the Alabama state line, and headed west. Within 5 miles…she fired several shots into a passing car, spraying out her car window and grazing her driver’s arm. [Florida Highway Patrol] said in a statement.
The driver, who was shot and injured by broken glass, is expected to survive. The condition of the other driver, who was shot in the neck and taken to the hospital, has not been released.
Florida Highway Patrol troopers stopped Celestine about 26 miles into the road and discovered she was armed with a rifle and a handgun. She was booked into the Holmes County Jail and “charged with attempted murder, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, and unlawful discharge of a firearm.”
Florida has a red flag law and a waiting period for gun purchases, both of which Democrats have used as a way to keep Americans safe.
