A second female victim of a brutal attack in Los Angeles’ Venice Canal District on April 6 has been declared brain dead and has died.
Sarah Alden, 53, from Massachusetts, was in the process of moving to Venice Beach when the incident occurred, the Westside Current reported. report Friday.
Alden, a mother of two adult sons, was attacked while walking home to her Airbnb on the evening of April 6 and was declared brain dead on Monday.
Breitbart News reported on April 13 that Mary Klein, 54, was targeted while enjoying an evening stroll, leaving her with severe bruising and requiring doctors to wire her jaw.

Anthony Francisco Jones, 29, was arrested in San Diego on April 11 and charged with assaulting two women at the Los Angeles Police Department’s West Division on April 12. Jones is charged with two counts of forcible rape, one count of forcible sexual intercourse, one count of mayhem, one count of torture and one count of attempted murder.
Jones ultimately pleaded not guilty to all charges, while police described the suspect as a black male, 6 feet 1 inch tall, weighing 200 pounds and a homeless man, Breitbart News reported.
“Jones does not appear to have a criminal history in Los Angeles County, according to authorities, but his background, including his legal status, is unknown. County jail records show Jones is being held without bail and his next court date is June 11 at Los Angeles International Airport Superior Court in Westchester,” the Westside Current reported.
Klein was recently released from a local health center after enduring a seizure. He has only just had wires removed from his jaw and is still recovering, so won’t be able to return to work for several months.

KTLA obtained security camera footage from before Alden’s death. Showing The suspect was seen walking through the area carrying liquor bottles that were allegedly stolen.
As of Sunday afternoon, the GoFundMe page Created The campaign to support Alden’s memorial has raised more than $29,000 of its $150,000 goal.
“All donations will go directly to Sarah’s two sons to help with her memorial, funeral, medical expenses and college education as they navigate life without their beloved mother,” the page read.
