Woman Becomes Popular for Ridiculing Charlie Kirk's Assassination at 'No Kings' Protest

A woman captured in a video making light of the assassination of Turning Point USA’s founder, Charlie Kirk, at last weekend’s “No Kings” protests has come under scrutiny from social media users, particularly because she is an elementary school teacher in Chicago, Illinois.

In the clip, the woman mimics shooting by placing her index finger and thumb on her neck repeatedly while seemingly saying “bang.”

Her gesture seemed to mock Kirk’s assassination, with one user noting that the video was filmed from a truck that displayed support for Kirk.

The video gained traction online, leading users to identify her and call for her employer to take action. Nathan Hale Elementary School has since removed its Website and deleted its X account in response to the backlash surrounding the viral video, as reported by daily mail.

“Meet Lucy Martinez, the Chicago elementary school teacher who thought mocking Charlie Kirk’s death was amusing,” wrote conservative commentator and Students for Trump co-founder Ryan Fournier on X. “This woman is in charge of educating children. Lucy embodies the ‘No Kings’ movement, which preaches ‘love’ but celebrates death. Evil reveals itself,” he added.

Many users responded to Fournier’s post, echoing his sentiments.

“People who think this way should not be teaching children,” commented one user. “Imagine if your child had conservative parents and supported Charlie Kirk.”

“Is she going to hurt or discriminate against the students? Teachers, much like politicians, should remain neutral unless the environment is clearly leaning leftist and anti-American,” another user remarked.

“She shouldn’t be allowed near children; her teaching license should be revoked,” a different commenter reflected.

“Why are they always teachers?” another user questioned. “This is outrageous. They shouldn’t be around children,” they added.

“I knew she was a teacher!” exclaimed FOX News host Laura Ingraham.

“Absolutely. Just a person with no business educating anyone,” stated another user.

“When concerned parents begin running for school boards or withdrawing their kids from public schools, it speaks volumes… Exhibit A, Honorable,” suggested the nonprofit organization Awake Illinois.

Nathan Hale Elementary School, along with Chicago Public Schools, has not yet responded to requests for comment.
