A Maryland woman was arrested and charged with 13 charges after being arrested and charged in a July car crash that resulted in the deaths of Minnesota Vikings rookie Keeley Jackson and his two friends.
Cori Clingman, who lives in Prince George's County, did. arrest Thursday after being charged with DUI and criminally negligent vehicular manslaughter. new york post.
Clingman, 23, faces up to 30 years in prison if convicted. On July 6, 2024, an accident claimed the life of prosecutors Isaiah Hazell and Anthony Litton Jr., two friends of Jackson and his friends.
“Each of their lives was special and important, and it was a tragic loss for their families and our community,” Prince George's County State's Attorney Aisha Braveboy said Thursday. “These are three young men who got it right in life and had amazingly bright futures in front of them. But on July 6th, they were taken away from us all. I did.”
Prosecutors added that Clingman, driving an Infinity Q50, was street racing a Dodge Charger driven by Jackson when the accident occurred. The crash also involved a third car, a Chevrolet Impala.
Clingman's car reportedly slammed into Jackson's Charger, sending it off the road and running over several tree stumps before coming to a stop. Jackson and Hazel were pronounced dead at the scene, and Lytton later died at the hospital.
Clingman went to the same high school as the young man who died and they were all friends.
“This was a horrible tragedy that should never have happened,” Braveboy added. “This really begins our fight to get justice for these three young men, their families, Sensible High School, the NFL, and this entire community.”
Khyree Jackson was drafted in the fourth round of the 2024 NFL Draft and joined the Vikings' OTAS and MINACAMP. Hazell played at the University of Maryland, and Litton was at both Florida State and Penn State.
