Vacations have altered the landscape of romance novels.
As reported by Jam Press, finding people you feel a romantic spark with is unusually tough these days.
One woman, Grace Kelly, was wandering around a hotel bar in Taiwan on vacation when she encountered a potential romantic interest.
“That first night, we hit it off so well that we stayed up all night, making the most of our time together,” Kelly shared about their experience.
“We were even discussing what our ideal future would look like—living on a farm in Scotland with our dogs and chickens, all within just hours of meeting.”
It sounded like something straight out of a romantic comedy.
Holiday getaways are thrilling—especially when you think you won’t ever see that person again.
However, when Kelly returned home and her new friend stayed in Taiwan for work, they continued to connect. “We kept chatting constantly for three weeks across different time zones.”
Feeling a strong connection, Kelly decided to book a flight back to Taiwan, making a 6,000-mile journey to see this special guy again.
“I was really anxious about the trip, so I booked my own hotel just in case things didn’t go smoothly,” she explained.
“But soon after I arrived, he had flowers waiting for me in my hotel room, and as soon as the elevator doors opened, he greeted me enthusiastically.”
After spending time in Taiwan, he later visited Kelly in England, and they introduced each other to their families.
“It’s rare to find people who connect this deeply and have such compatible lifestyles,” she noted.
“He’s incredibly refreshing, exceptionally talented, and the most intelligent person I’ve ever met. Plus, he’s really funny and down-to-earth.”
Kelly posted her love story online, and it quickly captivated many.
“This looks straight out of a rom-com. LoveLoveLoveIt,” one commenter said.
“I love this,” wrote another.
“How exciting!” added someone else.
The most fascinating part? These distant lovers met in a foreign land, yet they both grew up in the UK, living just an hour apart.
