Missing American Woman in St. Maarten
On November 20th, a 55-year-old American woman named Anne Evans was reported missing in Marigot, St. Maarten, after she did not return to her cruise ship, the Rotterdam, following a day of sightseeing.
The Sint Maarten Police Service (KPSM) has reached out for assistance in locating her. Authorities stated that Evans left a tour bus in Marigot, located on the French side of the island, but failed to reboard either the bus or the ship.
Additionally, police alerts have been issued on both the French and Dutch sides of St. Maarten regarding her disappearance. There are indications that someone matching Evans’ description checked into a hotel on the French side of the island. Reports suggest she has been seen in the vicinity of the hotel, as noted by local news outlets.
This isn’t the first time such an incident has occurred; a similar case happened in September when another American woman went missing after disembarking in Bonaire.
As for Evans, it remains unclear if she is in danger or simply prefers to remain out of contact. Currently, her whereabouts are unknown, and the KPSM continues to seek public help in their ongoing investigation.
