A woman was arrested after the stolen SUV she was driving was a birthday tip from a Waffle House customer, according to the Tulsa Police Department.
Authorities announced that Angela Harrison, 53, was arrested and charged with possession of a stolen vehicle.
Just before 4 p.m. on April 1, officers received a report that a white Jeep Liberty had been stolen and pursued the stolen vehicle until they were able to stop it during a traffic stop.
Police said Harrison claimed to have been at the gas station an hour before the stop when he met a former customer from when he worked at Waffle House.

Harrison told officers that his client gave him $10 in cash and a white Jeep Liberty for his 53rd birthday in a few weeks.
However, police said the Jeep had been reported stolen before Christmas, and detectives had already obtained surveillance photos of Harrison inside the vehicle since January 14th.

Harrison admitted to officers that she was the woman in the surveillance photo, but how could she have owned the car when she claimed she had been gifted it just an hour earlier in January? He said he couldn’t explain it.
