Woman Stabbed in Unprovoked Attack at Sonic Drive-In Speaks Out
A woman recently attacked at a Sonic Drive-in is sharing her experience of the chilling, unprovoked stabbing incident that left her with serious injuries.
Linda Holler visited the fast food location on Northeast 23rd Street in Oklahoma City to pick up her food when the attack occurred. She recalled feeling confused and asking herself repeatedly, “Why did this happen to me?”
According to reports, while Holler was parked, the assailant approached her vehicle and began stabbing her through the open window. “Before I could react, he came right up to my car without a word and just attacked me,” she recounted to the authorities.
The aftermath of the incident left noticeable blood stains on both her car and in the parking lot. Holler expressed difficulty in understanding her thoughts during the traumatic experience, other than the instinctive urge to survive.
She sustained multiple injuries during the attack, including a stab wound to her kneecap and several others to her forearm, thigh, and abdomen. One of the wounds to her liver required surgical intervention due to internal bleeding.
Unfortunately, according to local news, the restaurant’s security cameras weren’t operational at the time of the attack, so law enforcement is now reliant on nearby traffic camera footage to identify the assailant. As of now, no one has been arrested, and police are urging anyone with information to step forward.
Holler mentioned her concern about her recovery, stating that she won’t be able to work and is worried about accumulating medical debts. “It’s a lot to think about,” she admitted, highlighting the stress about the financial burden that may come from expenses not covered by insurance.
To assist with her costs, Holler’s sister has set up a GoFundMe campaign, which has raised over $14,000 so far, with a target of $24,000. “Asking for help isn’t easy, especially for a hard-working single mother,” the fundraiser comments, emphasizing that every contribution counts as the family navigates this troubling time.
