Florida Woman Arrested After Violent Incident

A woman from Florida is facing multiple charges after a disturbing incident was caught on video, which allegedly showed her punching a pregnant woman, attacking an elderly bystander who tried to intervene, and even biting a police officer during her arrest.

Mandolin Ann Schafer Brockwell, 37, from Orlando, is charged with assaulting a person over 65, aggravated assault against an officer, robbery of a vehicle combined with assault and battery, and resisting arrest with violence, according to local reports.

The altercation reportedly stemmed from a street dispute that took place near the Mall of Millenia on February 23. The pregnant woman informed the authorities that Schafer-Brockwell was acting erratically, stopping in front of her, honking, and trying to change lanes to escape.

According to video evidence released by police, Schafer-Brockwell exited her vehicle, sprinted towards the pregnant woman’s car, jumped onto its hood, and then forced her way into the driver’s side to strike the woman in the face.

At the time, the pregnant woman mentioned there was a child in the vehicle.

During the confrontation, an elderly woman who witnessed the situation attempted to assist but was met with hostility. Schafer-Brockwell reportedly told her to “get back in the car” before allegedly hitting her. The elderly woman’s injuries included visible bruises.

Witnesses provided descriptions of Schafer-Brockwell and her car to the police, leading to her rapid apprehension. However, she reportedly resisted violently when officers attempted to restrain her.

In a troubling turn, body camera footage showed Schafer-Brockwell taunting an arresting officer and biting his wrist in an attempt to avoid being handcuffed. “Don’t bite,” the officer cautioned, to which she replied defiantly, “No more.”

Ultimately, she was taken into custody. This incident has drawn attention not just for the violence but also for the chaotic circumstances surrounding it.
