There are details It was revealed About the shocking gunshot death of a prominent pastor outside of Memphis, Tennessee.
Community leaders lamented the death of Pastor Ricky Floyd, who was killed around 1am in a parking lot outside Mama's bar and kitchen on March 12th.
“She was within her right to protect her life, as her life was absolutely in danger.”
Floyd is active in the community and previously appeared in Fox News, opposed the LAX criminal enforcement policy.
Attorney for Samantha Marion, the woman who shot Floyd, told WREG-TV about the circumstances that led to the shooting. Marion claims she met a man named Stephen Newsom at the bar, and they got into an argument with the pastor.
“In the other corner of that elbow was Rev. Floyd,” said Attorney John Keith Perry. “She had never met Pastor Floyd before that night.”
Perry says they were caught up in a fierce debate about the Bible as Marion questioned him that he was a pastor at the bar that night.
“Pastor Floyd clearly had some, I call them territory, but the publications of small magazines are of a religious nature and they pass them on to the people at the bar,” Perry added.
Marion claims that she made the pastor better in the discussion and that he jumped out of the bar in her territory.
“No one reminds me of what I was told, but there was nothing like a threat, or something like, “I'll see you in the car park.”
He says outside the bar, Newsom tried to get between Marion and the pastor, but Floyd threw him to the ground.
This is when Marion begins recording over the phone, capturing the final moments of Floyd's life. The video shows the pastor trampling towards Marion, and she can be heard warning him before grabbing the phone and throwing it onto the ground.
After a while, she shot him several times.
“She had a license plate within the video range of a man who had just attacked her friend and her friend within the right to stand in the car park,” said Kevin Massey, another female lawyer. “And she was within her right to protect her life, as her life was absolutely in danger.”
