A Manhattan federal court judge on Tuesday sentenced Florida mother Amy Harris to one month in prison and three months of home confinement for stealing and selling President Joe Biden’s daughter’s diary that was hidden in her Florida home. Sentenced to 1 month.
Judge Laura Taylor Swain also called Harris’ actions “despicable.”
Harris pled guilty to conspiracy charges in August 2022, admitting that she stole Ashley Biden’s diary and sold it to Project Veritas for $40,000, of which she received half, according to the Associated Press.

Ms. Harris apologized for selling the diary and for repeatedly delaying her sentencing hearing because she was busy caring for her two young children, ages 6 and 8. She also told Swain that she was a survivor of long-term domestic violence and sexual trauma.
Co-defendant Robert Kurlander, who allegedly received the remaining $20,000, has not yet been sentenced, but has also pleaded guilty to conspiracy to transport stolen property across state lines.
Mr. Harris was ordered to report to prison in July.
