The World War II and Korean War veteran celebrated his 101st birthday on January 5th at a Hooters restaurant in El Paso, Texas.
Purple Heart recipient Harry Perez Cerezo decided to do something a little different to commemorate his big day by spending time with his restaurant's waitresses. new york post report Sunday.
The young women sang him a song and presented him with a large cake and a special hat with their signatures on it.

Cerezo's niece, Josie Ramirez, said Cerezo was so happy that he cried during a party attended by all of his loved ones.
“He liked the atmosphere, the girls, and the customers. Everyone was coming over and buying him drinks and saying hi, and he really enjoyed every minute of it. He liked everything. “They accepted me,” she recalled.

“He was shot in the back in South Korea and was awarded the Purple Heart for his actions,” the report said, adding that he then became an employee of the U.S. Postal Service until his retirement.
