These airports are improving the dining experience in their terminals.
Published by Food & Wine Global Tastemakers of 2024 The awards ceremony took place on Tuesday, where a panel of over 180 food and travel journalists revealed their favorite airports for food and drink.
Only three of the top 10 are in the United States, and only one is in New York City.
John F. Kennedy International Airport in Queens came in seventh place, with fashion makers praising it for having “as much food selection as the airport itself.”
It received praise for its inclusion of iconic New York flavors. Panelists recommend trying Palm Bar & Grill in Terminal 4, which “brings the energy of a New York steakhouse to the airport.”
Because JFK is an international hub, tastemakers highlighted culinary diversity, including soy and sake in ramen in Terminal 1 and Mi Casa Cantina and Restaurant in Terminal 4.
Other U.S. airports on the list are Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport (No. 8) and San Francisco International Airport (No. 9).
However, the crown went to Singapore’s Jewel Changi Airport.
Boasting the world’s tallest indoor waterfall, this tourist destination is home to more than 100 food stalls.
The airport’s products include “sipping-worthy soup made with domestic pork bones simmered for over 10 hours” and “award-winning chili crab.”
