When asked if he saw evidence that the Trump administration's border policies were even preventing illegally entering the country, Homan said Trump had actually sent a strong message and had the results.
“First of all, you know, we sent a clear message: CATCH and the release are over. You will either come to the border, turn around quickly, or be detained and deported,” he said. “We'll catch and release, we'll fly you to the city of your choice, we'll give you a free hotel room, we'll give you three meals a day, and we'll give you free medical care.”
“These days are over. When you come to our border, it is a violation of federal law to cross that border illegally. Homan will prosecute you, highlighting the consequences of breaking the law.”

“We're going to start prosecution. If you ignore what we're trying to do and want to come across that border illegally, we'll arrest you and prosecute you. Then we'll deport you. So we have consequences and I think it'll send a strong message,” he said.
“So what we come across, we're talking to them, so they're already on a trip. They're paying $1,000. … They're waiting for the CBP1 app we killed. So they thought I'd already spent thousands of dollars here. I'll take my shots,” he said, explaining that they're aware that they're “no shots.”
“So I think we sent a strong message to the whole world and the cartels are now. We think they are thinking of terrorist organizations. They know that we are bringing them the full weight of government,” he said.
“I think President Trump sent a strong message: the gravy train is over,” Homan added.
