A Corvette owner in Miami Beach captured video of a would-be thief trapped inside the sports car and pleading for help.

Footage taken by Julio Solano shows suspect Ravesh Rabindranath, 33, allegedly breaking into the Corvette parked in a garage on Monday and asking, “Can I go outside?” According to WPLG.

“No, I can't get out. [are] “I'm calling the police, what are you on about? This is car theft, are you trying to steal my car, what are you doing?” Solano can be heard telling Rabindranath, who is sitting in the driver's seat.

“Brother, this is not your car, this is my car,” Solano can be heard saying at another point in the video.

Police are then seen approaching the Corvette and taking Ravindranath into custody.

It's unclear how Rabindranath got into the Corvette, but Solano told the station, “The electrical components in the car don't work without the key. Fortunately, the suspect didn't know about the manual door locks under the seats.”

Ravindranath is currently being charged with theft of an unattended vehicle and is being held on $2,500 bail.
