WrestleMania 40: Logan Paul fends off Kevin Owens, Randy Orton to retain US Championship

Logan Paul had one of his toughest tasks ever, defending his United States Championship against two of WWE’s greatest men at WrestleMania 40. On Sunday, he did just that.

“The Maverick” put together a WrestleMania moment for the ages, pinning Kevin Owens and taking care of Randy Orton in the process.

“Sorry, Randy. I told you it was a new era,” Paul said as he left the ring.

Paul played in the game as a backup. prime truck. His drinks were a major sponsor of WrestleMania. Behind him was a mysterious figure wearing a Prime Bottle. Last year, it was KSI who helped Paul in his match against Seth Rollins.

Owens and Orton started by slamming Paul into the Spanish announce table. They trampled his legs and arms. However, they both go for the pin and come to the conclusion that they need to punch each other.

Orton first realized this when he attempted an RKO on Owens. Owens blocked, but the fight continued. Paul gets up and hits a clothesline lariat over the ropes.

Paul showed off his athleticism multiple times, scoring a swanton on Owens before rolling through and splashing on Orton. Still, he couldn’t get a fall. Orton then challenged Paul to an uppercut contest. Paul put Orton on one knee while facing boos from the fans.

Owens tried to get back into the match, but Orton kept turning his head. “Viper” was in the lead, at least for a moment. It was a long 18 months before Orton was able to have another WrestleMania moment. Orton got them both up on the apron and hit a double DDT while standing them on the middle rope.

Owens suplexes Paul from the middle rope and hits a moonsault for a chance. But in vain, Paul was kicked out. Out of nowhere, Orton hits an RKO. Owens kicked out.

All the men were holding their breath, expecting something to be given to them.

Paul returned to the ring with brass knuckles in his hand. He then clocked Orton after a brawl. He goes for the pin, but “The Apex Predator” kicks out again. As Paul tried to get Orton to his feet, he was hit with another RKO. Owens was knocked down outside the ring.

Orton was about to kick Paul in the face when Prime’s mascot dragged him out of the ring. Prime Bottle was revealed to be streamer IShowSpeed. An angry Orton grabbed the streamer and performed an RKO on the announce table.

Paul took advantage of Orton’s back turned. Owens hits a pop-up powerbomb and a Stunner on Paul and Orton. Owens covers Orton, but again only gets a two count.

Owens tried to hit the pop-up powerbomb again, but Orton countered with an RKO. Paul took advantage and threw Orton out of the ring. He hits a frog splash on Owens for the win.
