WrestleMania 42 to Take Place in Las Vegas Again
WWE announced on Wednesday that WrestleMania 42 will be held in Las Vegas for a second consecutive year, despite previous plans for New Orleans to serve as the host city.
Recently, there have been discussions about WWE’s upcoming season kickoff events in New Orleans. As chatter intensified on social media, WWE confirmed that WrestleMania is indeed returning to Allegiant Stadium for what they’re calling a premium live event.
“Las Vegas set records for the biggest WrestleMania ever, providing an amazing experience for fans worldwide,” said WWE President Nick Kahn in a statement. “We’re eager to collaborate once more with the fantastic teams at the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority and Allegiant Stadium to bring WrestleMania back to this global hub of sports and entertainment.”
Steve Hill, the CEO of the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority, earlier expressed excitement about WrestleMania’s return. He highlighted the city’s reputation for hosting world-class events.
“Being chosen again for such a major event speaks volumes,” Hill stated. “It shows how Las Vegas can elevate the standard for world-class gatherings. We’re thrilled to build on last year’s success and deliver even more unforgettable experiences for the WWE fans in 2026.”
The hustle and bustle around WrestleMania rivaled that of Super Bowl Week. WWE filled the Las Vegas strip with numerous activities, including Hall of Fame ceremonies, WrestleMania events, and various roasts.
WWE has confirmed that “Monday Night Raw” and “Friday Night SmackDown” will also make an appearance, alongside NXT Stand & Deliver, further enhancing the lineup for wrestling fans in the city.
This marks only the second instance in WrestleMania’s history where the event is set to occur in the same city two years in a row. The previous time was for WrestleMania IV and V, both held at the Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City, New Jersey.
