Ric Flair has reassured fans that he’s in good health, dismissing rumors about fighting cancer.
Addressing the speculation on social media, Flair stated, “I’m really sorry for any confusion, but I don’t have any type of cancer.” He went on to express gratitude for the concern, adding, “You’ll have to put up with me for another 25 years!”
The rumors began circulating when fans noticed a picture of Flair showing a noticeable bruise on his forehead, which sparked worries. One post on social media remarked, “Every time I see him, he seems to have these random bruises. He really needs to take it easy.”
Interestingly, it was a response from Flair’s family that fueled the worries further. Conrad Thompson, Flair’s son-in-law, noted that he had undergone skin cancer removal, sparking even more concern among fans.
Thompson, who has married Flair’s daughter Megan, works as a mortgage broker and also creates content related to professional wrestling.
At 76 years old, Flair isn’t a stranger to health challenges, which has made fans anxious after Thompson’s comments. In 2017, Flair faced severe health issues, including a medically induced coma, leading to colon surgery due to an obstruction, and later, kidney failure.
In 2019, he was hospitalized after a significant medical emergency, and in 2022, he even suffered a heart attack during what was billed as his final match.
Earlier this year, Flair took to social media to reflect on his health journey and express appreciation for his recovery, remarking on how lucky he felt to be alive after such serious health scares.
