Changes might be necessary for the WWE women’s title picture.
Liv Morgan sustained what was described by Michael Cole as a dislocated shoulder during a recent live show. This injury occurred during her match against Kairi Sane.
Cole clarified that the injury was entirely legitimate and not part of a scripted storyline.
In the opening moments of the match, Morgan, one half of the women’s tag team champions, fell awkwardly to the mat. Her hands hit the surface first, and she winced in pain almost immediately.
At 31 years old and hailing from New Jersey, Morgan grabbed her right shoulder and rolled out of the ring, visibly struggling.
She was on her knees, gripping her shoulder tightly, clearly in distress as she tried to move along the floor.
The announcers began to speculate about the injury. Corey Graves asked, “Is that an injury or something?” to which Cole confirmed, “I think so. Liv may have injured her shoulder.”
While Sane engaged with the crowd, the referees remained focused on the situation. The broadcast then highlighted the incident that led to Morgan’s injury, with Cole noting that medical staff attended to her on the floor.
Though the match was brief, Sane was ultimately declared the winner.
As a key figure in the women’s division, Morgan’s injury could pose a setback for WWE. There seems to be indications of a brewing rivalry between Morgan and Nikki Bella, who made her return during the last episode of “Raw.”
So far, Morgan has not shared any comments on social media regarding the incident.
