Wyndham Clark’s Frustrations at the 2025 US Open
Wyndham Clark has recently voiced his frustrations about missing the cut at the 2025 US Open, and these ventings may have reached the locker room this week.
The challenging conditions at Oakmont Country Club in Pennsylvania have impacted many top golfers, but Clark’s anger seems to have manifested itself in the famous clubhouse locker.
The reigning 2023 US Open champion was among those who struggled to perform at Oakmont, finishing with a score of 74 and missing the cut after an eight-over performance.
Images circulating on social media have indicated some apparent damage in the locker area, specifically showing the bottoms of the lockers significantly damaged.
Fox News Digital has reached out for comments from a representative for Clark.
As of now, Clark has not addressed the allegations and chose not to engage with the media following the second round. His history of managing frustration is somewhat well-known.
Earlier this month, during the 2025 PGA Championship at Quazul Hollow Club, Clark notably hit a T-Mobile sign in the heat of competition. He later expressed regret for that incident, stating, “I promise to improve the way I handle my frustration in future courses and hope that you will be able to forgive me in the future,” in a social media post.
The US Open is intended to be one of the toughest challenges golfers face each year, and Oakmont certainly doesn’t disappoint. With its glassy greens and roughs that can frustrate even the most skilled, it has hosted the tournament ten times.
Rory McIlroy also had his own struggles, visibly frustrated as he smashed a tee marker during the second round and threw his club after a challenging 18 holes.
Clark’s close friend, Shane Lowry, was also vocal about his negative experience on the course, reportedly exclaiming, “F-this place” after a missed putt. While those moments were captured on the course, it seems Clark may not have revealed everything about his frustrations. It’ll be interesting to see if he addresses these allegations after the final round on Sunday.
