Wyndham Clark reportedly harms Oakmont lockers after failing to qualify for the US Open.

Wyndham Clark’s Frustration at the US Open

This week, tensions are noticeable in the locker room at Oakmont Country Club, especially for Wyndham Clark. The reigning 2023 US Open champion has expressed his dissatisfaction after failing to make the cut at the 2025 tournament, where he finished with an underwhelming score of eight over par.

It’s been a challenging course for many top golfers, but Clark’s frustrations apparently reached a peak in the famous clubhouse. Social media even picked up on what seemed to be some locker damage, hinting at the extent of his anger. However, Clark has yet to comment publicly on this situation.

Interestingly, he stayed quiet after the second round, but his emotions have a history of getting the better of him. Just last month, during the PGA Championship at Quazul Hollow, he let his frustrations boil over by smashing a T-Mobile sign. He later took to social media to apologize, assuring fans he would work on managing his frustrations better going forward.

The US Open is known as one of the toughest tests in golf, and Oakmont is no exception. With its challenging greens and thick rough, it’s not surprising that players have struggled. Rory McIlroy, for example, also showed signs of frustration during his rounds, even breaking a tee marker and tossing a club in frustration.

While Clark’s outbursts were noted, it’s clear that many golfers are feeling the pressure. But, I think it will be interesting to see how he addresses these allegations after the final round on Sunday, assuming he chooses to comment at all.
