Wyndham Clark surprisingly shares his intention to ask his girlfriend to marry him

After winning the BMW Championship over the weekend, Wyndham Clark shared his thoughts about his relationship with girlfriend Emily Tanner during a media session on Tuesday.

When asked about his offseason plans, Clark said, “I’m going to be in Cabo next week. That’s my happy place. I’ll be down there having fun. Besides the Presidents Cup, I’m playing a tournament in Japan, and I’m hoping to get engaged, then heading to South Africa for another tournament.”

Pressing further on his prospects of getting engaged, Clark humorously added, “Hopefully she says yes.”

Interestingly, Clark and Tanner have only been dating for about seven months. They officially announced their relationship on Instagram after being spotted together at The Masters. Tanner previously mentioned in a Q&A that they met at the end of January and, well, things moved quickly for them.

In another sign of their fast-paced relationship, Tanner recently revealed she was relocating from California to Scottsdale, Arizona, to be closer to Clark.

Clark has expressed how much confidence Tanner brings him, a sentiment he reiterated after his victory over the weekend. This supportive partnership seems to be reflected in his impressive performance this season, where he has won three PGA Tour tournaments, including the US Open.

It will be interesting to see how Tanner reacts to Clark’s public comments about their future. If he does propose during this offseason, it’s probably fair to assume she won’t be taken by surprise.
