Wynton Hall's 'Code Red' Debuts on NYT List in Its Opening Week

New Book “Code Red” by Winton Hall Hits Bestseller List

A new book titled Code Red: Left, Right, China, and the Race to Control AI, authored by Winton Hall, who is the social media director at Breitbart News, has quickly climbed to #13 on the New York Times bestseller list within just its first week of release.

In Code Red, Hall explores various themes, including the influence of technology on elections, the economy, and even family values. He aims to sketch out a practical framework for how conservatives can effectively harness artificial intelligence to create beneficial policies.

The book takes an interesting stance; it steers clear of both the extreme pessimism surrounding AI and the overly optimistic views that often accompany discussions about technology. Instead, it treats AI as a tool that should be applied carefully to reinforce American values.

Reflecting on the book’s success, Hall expressed his gratitude, stating, “As Breitbart’s social media director for over a decade, I’ve witnessed the passion of our audience. I’m thankful for the support of Breitbart readers and everyone who contributed to this achievement.” He noted that the conservative movement is gearing up for the AI revolution.

Several prominent conservatives and independent journalists have voiced their support for the book:

  • Senator Marsha Blackburn (R-TN) described Code Red as a “must-read,” emphasizing the need to maximize AI’s potential responsibly.
  • Peter Schweizer called the book “an important book about our promising and frightening new world.”
  • Steve Bannon expressed that Hall is “one of the brightest minds” in the AI field.
  • Maria Bartiromo referred to Code Red as a “great book.”
  • Glenn Beck stated that it’s a very important book.
  • Larry Elder praised it as an “extraordinary read.”
  • Michael Shellenberger highlighted it as a crucial prompt for those wishing to distance themselves from Big Tech’s agenda.

In an interview, Hall mentioned that he wanted the book to provide insights that could help readers “shave five years off their learning curve” regarding AI’s implications on various aspects of life, including education, national security, and social interactions.

Within a day of its release, public interest surged, driving the book up Amazon’s sales rankings—and it even hit number 9 on their “Movers and Shakers” list.

Hall positions this work as a comprehensive guide for the MAGA movement, aiming to utilize AI beneficially while preventing Silicon Valley’s left from gaining control or letting China dominate on the global stage.

Hall articulated a crucial point: “We don’t want to operate within a world dictated by China’s AI influence, economically or militarily. Our goal is to tackle the challenge posed by China without replicating its model. An AI surveillance state is undesirable for all of us, so it’s vital we uphold our values.”
