Chinese President Xi Jinping departed Hungary on Friday, completing a three-nation European tour aimed at strengthening China’s growing influence on the continent.
President Xi’s plane took off from Budapest airport on Friday night, completing a five-day European tour that began with visits to France and Serbia.

Earlier on Friday, Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán said on social platform praised.

During the visit, Hungary and China signed a number of new agreements on deepening economic and cultural cooperation. At a press conference on Thursday, Prime Minister Orbán praised the “unbroken friendship” between the two countries since he took office in 2010, and vowed that Hungary would continue to welcome investment from China.
President Xi began his visit earlier in the week by meeting with French President Emmanuel Macron. The talks between the two sides focused on trade disputes and Ukraine-related diplomatic efforts, including lifting the threat of tariffs on cognac exports.

He then visited Serbia, a candidate for the European Union, where the two countries signed an agreement to build a “common future”.
