Yacht rented by hip-hop producer Metro Boomin bursts into flames outside popular Miami strip club 

A megayacht reportedly rented by legendary hip-hop producer Metro Boomin burst into flames while moored outside Miami's most popular strip club early Sunday morning, according to reports.

The fire broke out on the 95-foot-long vessel off the Booby Trap on the River, just about 30 minutes after it docked at the adult entertainment club around 3 a.m. local 10 Reported.

“The boat arrived and they were on the boat for maybe 30 minutes on the dock when they noticed what sounded like a fire alarm going off,” Malhevka told local media.

“When we looked at the boat, we saw smoke inside the boat. We decided to evacuate the boat immediately.”

After everyone was safely removed from the boat, the flames continued to grow and engulfed the vessel, prompting a large-scale response from Miami-Dade Fire and Rescue around 4 a.m.

Fire officials said more than 30 units – some from land and others in fire-rescue boats – were called to the scene to help extinguish the growing inferno. NBC6.

Officials said the yacht's size and fuel load made it difficult to extinguish, but the fire grew so large that the flames drew a crowd of awestruck onlookers.

An anonymous witness at the scene told NBC 6 that the fire was “unexpected” and that he had never seen anything “like this.”

Another woman said she and others were “scared” because of the size of the fire.

The yacht eventually sank in the Miami River. No injuries were reported, officials said.

Miami-Dade Fire Rescue said after the fire was extinguished, they used “specialized oil spill response equipment with an oil-absorbing boom” to try to limit the fuel spill, according to the report. miami herald.

“This strong mesh-like sleeve encloses a highly absorbent material that absorbs oil and surface shine,” MDFR spokesperson Nicholas DiGiacomo told the magazine.

An investigation has been launched to determine the cause of the fire.

Metro Boomin, who has collaborated with artists such as The Weeknd, Young Thug, Future and Travis Scott, has not released an official statement regarding the incident.
