New York Yankees slugger Aaron Judge hit his 31st home run on Sunday against the Toronto Blue Jays, leading the team to an 8-1 victory.
Judge has been on a scorching home run pace this season and appeared to be on a similar trajectory to his 2022 campaign, when he broke the American League home run record with 62 home runs.

Judge hit 31 home runs in 83 games with New York this season. In 2022, he hit 30 home runs in 83 games. He hit 32 home runs the rest of the season, eventually hitting 62, including a historic 62 in the final game of a doubleheader against the Texas Rangers.
Judge won the American League MVP award in 2022 for the first time in his career.
Blue Jays starter Kevin Gausman hit a two-run homer on Sunday in the first inning that traveled 423 feet.

Gausman ended up giving up seven runs in 4.1 innings.
Judge was two hits in four at-bats and also recorded two strikeouts.
Yankees starter Gerrit Cole struck out six in five innings, but gave up a one-run single to Justin Turner in the bottom of the third.
The win improves New York to 54-32 on the year.
