Yankees’ Harrison Bader exits with apparent injury

SEATTLE — Just when the Yankees are starting to get back on track, Harrison Bader delivers a new scare.

Vader was out in the top of the third with an apparent injury after being hit by an infield hit at T-Mobile Park Monday against the Mariners.

The center fielder, who missed the first 30 games of the season with a strained oblique muscle, was trying to get something out of first base.

That prompted Aaron Boone and his trainer to visit him.

After a brief conversation, Vader left the field and was pinch-run by Greg Allen.

Vader left the game with 2 hits in 2, 1 stolen base and 1 RBI.

It was the second consecutive game that a Yankee star left early since Anthony Rizzo was ejected after colliding with Fernando Tatis Jr. at first base on Sunday.

Rizzo missed Monday’s game with a sore neck, but the Yankees hope to have him back in the lineup on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, the Yankees could bring up to four players back from the IL this week: Josh Donaldson, Jose Trevino, Tommy Karnle and potentially Giancarlo Stanton.
