Austin Wells had his best offensive performance of the spring, going 2-for-3 with a double, a home run, and even a stolen base.
Wells is known for his bat, but Aaron Boone is encouraged by his improved defense behind the plate.
“I’m very impressed with how good a catcher he’s becoming,” Boone said.
