Eskara, 29, has given Boone something to call her mother and grandmother, so there's no need to worry about it anymore. The Yankees captured the moment Eskara shed tears at Facetime with her loved ones before returning to work.

“That's amazing,” Eskara said. New York PostSunday morning. “There's a lot of time coming. At first I was grateful to be here, but now my dreams come true. It's the easy part now. I'm just playing baseball on the biggest stage, so I'm excited to see what's coming.”

Eskara added that he wasn't that heavy, but it's not difficult to know how his mother would react.

“It's just a special moment,” he said. “A special moment of what I went through because she went through it with me.”
