Bernie Williams, a four-time World Series champion with the New York Yankees, will see how his old team is approaching the season in Tampa, Florida for training this spring.
However, while he was there, there could be quite a bit of a harsh difference in the appearance of those players as he was rubbing down the traditions he was used to during his day of play.
Yankees general management partner Hal Steinbrenner made a shocking announcement in 1976 that the late George M. Steinbrenner, introduced by his father George M. Steinbrenner in 1976, could not have been better.

As such, Yankees players, coaches and staff are permitted to have “good care beards.” Newcomers like Devin Williams, who have already shaved his signature beard since his days with the Milwaukee Brewers, are those who can start growing his facial hair again.
For Williams, it certainly needs to be used to the Yankees being allowed to do this. So he told Fox News Digital that he had “mixed emotions” about the change.
“As a young player, it's a bit difficult to shave that clean cut, so I have some mixed feelings [look] Every day, Williams also spoke to him about his importance and laughed. Fit to the Lung Health Initiative. “As a rebel child playing professional sports, you get all these admirations, you feel like you're at the top of the world, you can do whatever you want.
Yankees announcer Michael Kay reflects on the team's “earthquake” facial hair policy change
“But that particular rule, first of all, that kept us together as a team — something everyone had to do. From the rookie guy to the best paid player who had to get in the way of that face hair, it didn't matter how much money you were making with the team.
“It was a bit annoying to go out on the other side of the coin every day.”
For Williams, the rule set the Yankees apart from signing pinstripes.
“We had to have this policy and people loved it,” he explained. “These guys are so pretty and look really nice, they have this policy and I want to associate them with that team.
However, since he last came to the game in 2006, his love for this policy has clearly changed, and he understands how changing times lead to changes in mindsets.
“I got the fact that people are pushing back, and we live in a different era, and I think it's kind of a trendy having nice, well-maintained beards and facial hair,” he said.
But Williams draws the line effectively where Yankees captain Judge Aaron discusses the hair rules for faces, and could give free agents a rethink about joining the organization.

“In my mind, I don't think I know how others will take it, the hair on my face is just a trivial thing,” Williams said with a laugh. “You have facial hair issues and you don't even want to properly grow your whiskers if you don't want to play in one of the best franchises in the sport. So I think it's like a trivial point. That's a few other issues you have to deal with.”
The Yankees have also made some changes to the music played in the Bronx after the home loss, indicating that the organization is about to modernize a bit.
But Williams knows the tradition and nostalgia that the Yankees have.
So perhaps introducing another jersey isn't on the card yet, something fans have been discussing for years.

And then again…
“If you do it elegantly, I don't think you'll try to turn your head upside down with a ridiculous sudden change.
Williams must first look at his whiskers.
