‘Yellowstone’ star teases ‘best season finale in history,’ promises fans it’s ‘worth the wait’

‘Yellowstone’ star Ian Bowen didn’t hold back as he hyped up the hit show’s long-awaited series finale.

The 47-year-old actor, who plays Ryan in “Yellowstone,” assured fans that the Paramount Network series will exceed their expectations when it airs its long-awaited fifth and final season.

“What fans get is [best] That’s probably the conclusion that might be written,” Bowen told Entertainment Tonight ahead of the “Yellowstone” Stagecoach pop-up event.

He continued, “Everything is going to land in a perfectly set way. A lot of shows are just kind of ending…and they don’t leave you satisfied. This one is going to finish out in a meaningful way. ” he continued.

“I’ve never seen a show end this well,” the “Teen Wolf” alum said. “We’re looking forward to the best series finale ever. Maybe we’re overconfident, but we think that’s what it will turn out to be. Thank you for everyone’s patience…I promise it will be worth the wait.” ”

The Kevin Costner-led Taylor Sheridan-produced show also stars Luke Grimes, Kelly Reilly, Wes Bentley, Cole Hauser, Kelsey Asbill, and Gil Birmingham.

“Yellowstone” aired the first half of its fifth and final season in November 2022. The second half was scheduled to air last November, but the broadcast was postponed due to a strike by Hollywood actors and writers. The second half of the final season of “Yellowstone” is scheduled to begin airing in November 2024.

During a conversation with ET, Bowen shared his thoughts on his bond with the “Yellowstone” cast over the years since its 2018 premiere.

“It’s like you have brothers and sisters who go through different moments of your life, and you’re with your family. When something really nice happens, you look left and right and you look like you’re “See who’s laughing with you,” he said. “You’re looking from the sidelines to see who’s standing next to you and they feel the same way. It’s family…that never goes away.”

Bowen also reflected on how he finds interacting with “Yellowstone” fans at in-person events like Stagecoach pop-ups “very grounding.”

“When people talk about what this show means to them, it makes me feel like I’m part of something bigger than just an entertainment piece,” the actor told ET. “It touches people in a different way than something that’s just a fan. It’s a cultural phenomenon.”
