‘Yellowstone’ Star Wendy Moniz Celebrates Series Conclusion With Behind-The-Scenes Photos

“Yellowstone” star Wendy Moniz shared a variety of photos from the end of filming on the series on Monday, ahead of the release of the final season in November.

Moniz plays the role of Governor Lynelle Perry, the confidant, friend and sometime lover of the show’s protagonist, John Dutton (Kevin Costner), on Taylor Sheridan’s iconic cowboy drama, and she shared a series of photos with her Instagram followers as she wrapped up her role on the show, which will wrap up with its final season on Paramount+ in November.

“The end of our Yellowstone series has brought with it a whole host of emotions: sentimental, proud, grateful,” Moniz said. I have written The caption reads, “What an amazing experience I’ve had here! I’ve been so blessed to work with so many talented, dedicated and kind people since 2017. After completing my last scene on August 1st, I remembered that I had previously posted a gratitude post… thinking back, it was the same day two years ago.”

The images, which for some reason I can’t embed here, show Moniz kicking off her cowboy boots. Other images show the ranch, the horses, the hair and makeup she did for the show, the scenery, and a few souvenirs.

Moniz has been with the show for seven years and has appeared in every season. (Related: Shocking theory about Yellowstone’s ending explodes online, but it has a big catch.)

“Yellowstone” is reportedly still filming the final episode of Season 5 Part 2, which will wrap up the Dutton Yellowstone Ranch storyline.

Questions are swirling about what the final few chapters of the Dutton family story will be. Costner isn’t planning on returning to complete his lead storyline because he’s too busy watching other projects fail. There’s still no clear front-runner as to who among the main cast will inherit the estate. But I’m hopeful.

Ultimately, the hope is that the land will be returned to Tate, the youngest Dutton son, who is the rightful heir on both his mother’s and father’s side, but Sheridan Productions always has a way of surprising audiences, so we’ll just have to wait and see when the show returns on November 10th.
