Yelp Disables Comments on McDonald’s That Hosted Trump After Flood of Fake Bad Reviews
The McDonald's restaurant where former President Donald Trump worked as a cook and served customers on Sundays is being flooded with fake negative reviews on Yelp.
Yelp, a company where customers rate local businesses online, has temporarily disabled its review feature for a restaurant in Feasterville-Trevose, Pennsylvania, in response to a decidedly negative response.
As Breitbart News reported, President Trump visited the site and took on tasks ranging from cooking to providing drive-through service to the public during his shift.
The campaign suspension was based on allegations that Vice President Kamala Harris never worked at McDonald's during her college years, as she claimed on her resume.
McDonald's issued a statement on Sunday asserting that it has no record of Harris ever working there. The fast food company also said, “…we and our franchisees do not have records for all positions dating back to the '80s…”
Yelp has since been quick to clarify its position on fake reviews associated with President Trump's efforts.
“While we do not take sides on this incident, we have posted content on this page to investigate whether the content you see here reflects actual consumer experience. We've temporarily disabled your posts “Recent Events,'' a message on Yelp told users.
Before Yelp disabled the review feature, the score was sitefrom comical remarks about stunts to more serious political statements. independentmemo.

Yelp's policy is to flag and temporarily disable reviews for businesses that have received increased public attention.
In 2023, there were a total of 986 alerts posted on company pages related to high-profile businesses, the company said. Approximately 50,000 reviews were removed as a result of these warnings.
Most McDonald's locations are independently owned and operated, and franchise owners are more or less free to invite anyone they want to operate their drive-thrus, although they must agree to certain guidelines.
