Yes, Texas has the right to defend itself

Texas is playing another Alamo. We are in a constitutional crisis.

Gov. Greg Abbott (R) on Wednesday clarified the governor's power and the authority of the United States in a letter to the American people and Joe Biden.

But first, let's go back to 1787.

The Constitutional Convention came down to the question, “Where do the rights of the states end and the rights of the federal government begin?” Many states did not want to join the union because they did not believe the federal government would uphold their termination of the agreement. Each country had to give up much of its sovereignty and authority to join the Union. How can they be sure the federal government will protect their rights?

They had just come out of a war with Britain who had violated their rights and paid a heavy price to get those rights back. They were terrified at the thought of being placed under the new authority of the federal government. What if the federal government responsible for protecting its borders was weak? Each state claimed to have the power to protect its borders from invaders.
The first step was to add a Bill of Rights. This was because each state objected, saying, “We do not believe that the federal government will always uphold its end of the bargain.''

Of course, they were thinking of an army invasion. However, given what China was trying to do to Russia during the Sino-Soviet border conflict, what is happening on our southern border is a textbook definition of aggression. The People's Republic of China thought that if it went to war with Russia, it could simply send a million people across the border and force Russia to surrender. On the second day, send another 1 million. On the third day, send another 1 million. China predicted that its invasion plans would destroy Russia by the end of this week.

Mr. Abbott claims that Texas follows the law, but that Mr. Biden is ignoring it.

That's exactly what's happening on our southern border.

Under the Biden administration, at least 6 million illegal aliens have crossed the border and are now staying in communities and cities across our country. Some estimates put the number of illegal immigrants at 10 million. Suppose that number he is 6 million. This is still more than the population of her 33 states in our country. The Biden administration has embraced a whole new Colorado, a whole new Wisconsin, a whole new Oregon, and we don't even know who these people are.

But we know who's who
Several They are. Border guards have arrested cartel members, human traffickers, and even members of Hezbollah, Hamas, and other terrorist organizations. Cartels are benefiting from Biden's open border policies by allowing human trafficking and drug smuggling operations to flourish. Smuggled fentanyl continues to kill Americans as a direct result of the Biden administration's policies.

This is not Mr. Trump's problem. President Trump has put the border under his control. Biden took office on his first day and by executive order reversed everything Trump had done. We've seen it before, and now it's getting worse.

Our government, through NGOs and public-private partnerships, intentionally moves people from South America, Central America, and Mexico to the United States. This is all part of the United Nations and the World Economic Forum, and Joe Biden has basically signed on to it.

That's why Mr. Abbott said, “President Biden has refused to enforce a law that he is federally obligated to enforce.'' Mr. Abbott said Mr. Biden:
violated Legislation. Appealing to James Madison, Alexander Hamilton, and the Framers of the Constitution, Abbott declared that Texas' right of self-defense was “the supreme law of the land” and “supersedes any federal law to the contrary.” did.

So what does this mean? Well, that means we are in a constitutional crisis. States declare a constitutional right to protect themselves, and the federal government replies, “No, you can't do that.”

Does Texas have the right to do this? Sen. Ted Cruz responded, “Yes.” Ron DeSantis signed. More states are signing on. They argue that the Constitution would never have been ratified in the first place if it had left it vulnerable to an incompetent and corrupt government. Texas definitely wouldn't have signed on.

We need to understand that we are not a federation. Texas was a republic. That's the only option in the union. Texas had no reason to join the United States.that I wanted To. This is why Texas, the Lone Star State, exudes a different attitude. “We're in it, but we're still Texas,” the Texan said. They would never have joined the union if they didn't have the right to replace the government to protect their borders when the government fails. the work. Based on this, Mr. Abbott claims that Mr. Biden is ignoring the law while Texas is following the law.

We all know that we have the right as states to protect ourselves when the federal government fails to meet its constitutional obligations. As the delegates to the Constitutional Convention had predicted, the Fed was unable to keep its end of the bargain. This is not just a “Texas problem.” This affects all of us, whether we have the right to protect ourselves as a state or as citizens of the United States. Now is the time for states to come together.
