Going through a divorce is difficult enough, but Sofia Vergara detailed what it's like to get through it in the public eye.
Last July, Page Six revealed that the Griselda actress, 51, and Joe Manganiello, 47, were planning to split after seven years of marriage.

“You're there [in the public eye] And people know that's part of being a celebrity,” she shared. “I knew it would happen. You can't hide things like that.”
However, the Modern Family alum admitted that the coverage of the couple's divorce ended up being accurate and candid, which made it easier to “get through” the difficult time.
“It wasn't bad,” she said of the coverage. “I have to say the press was very polite and very kind. And I thought they would come up with something more, and you know how it usually is. ”
“I was surprised and they just said what it was and that was it,” the mother of one added.
Vergara and Manganiello released an exclusive statement to Page Six regarding their decision to separate in July 2023.
“We have made the difficult decision to divorce,” the couple said. “As two people who love and care for each other, we respectfully ask that you respect our privacy as we enter this new phase in our lives.”
The source also said that the two have been “estranged for some time” and have chosen to “take some distance from each other to consider the future.”
Manganiello immediately filed for divorce, citing “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for the divorce.

He then hired Laura Wasser, a talented celebrity divorce attorney who has represented stars such as Kevin Costner, Angelina Jolie, and Kim Kardashian.
Various media outlets reported that Manganiello's strong desire to have children led to the breakdown of their marriage.
However, conflicting reports suggest that Vergara was “suffocated” by her marriage “with a partner who was largely unsupportive.”
Vergara is the mother of 31-year-old son Manolo with ex-husband Joe Gonzalez.
