During a recent visit to a Ford facility in Dearborn, Michigan, President Donald Trump encountered a heckler, and left-wing host Stephen Colbert took a moment on his show to remark on this incident, reiterating his criticisms of autoworkers.
On Wednesday’s episode of Late Show, Colbert lightheartedly commented, “It seems President Trump has declared a new national bird,” after airing footage of Trump responding to the heckler with a gesture.
“That’s a first,” Colbert continued. “The president of the United States unleashes an expletive and then silences someone in such an overt way. This feels like the most blatantly hostile reaction we’ve seen from a leader since Herbert Hoover’s infamous line about ‘pooping in every pot.’
Colbert then gave a nod to the heckler, saying, “You have to give credit to the autoworkers who confronted Trump. And this was all because he brought up those Epstein files.”

“Speaking of which, where are those Epstein files?” he asked, prompting cheers from the audience.
Colbert raised his voice, “Where are they?”
“We were told to expect those files, as you signed a law last month requiring their release. Yet, you’ve yet to act on it,” he added.
“For some reason, you come off like, what’s that word?” Colbert said before shouting, “Protector of pedophiles!” repeating the heckler’s words.
Reports indicate that the heckler, identified as 40-year-old TJ Sabra, a member of the United Auto Workers, faced suspension from his job following the incident.
Video clips of the event quickly circulated on social media and gained significant attention.

The White House communications director stated that Trump’s reaction was suitable.
“The individual was agitated and yelling obscenities, but the president responded fittingly and decisively,” Chan remarked.
On a related note regarding the Epstein scandal, former President Bill Clinton is currently facing contempt of Congress for not appearing before the House Oversight Committee concerning the investigation.
Additionally, former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton missed her own deposition the following day, prompting the House Oversight Committee Chairman to take steps against her as well.
However, Colbert chose not to address the Clintons’ noncompliance with recent subpoenas in his lengthy monologue.
