Rep. Pat Fallon (R-Texas) told President Joe Biden’s Secret Service chief, Kimberly Cheatle, “should be fired immediately and go back to guarding Doritos” during Monday’s House Oversight Committee hearing into the assassination attempt on former President Donald Trump.
It will fall Said Cheatle said during Monday’s hearing that he “recreated” what happened in Butler, Pennsylvania, and achieved a “94 percent success rate” despite “never having had long-range firearms training in my life.”

“I was lying face down on a sloping roof about 130 yards away at 6:30 at night and I knew he had a scope, I didn’t know if it was a red dot or a magnified scope, but I fired eight shots from both,” the deputy explained.
“You know what happened? 15 out of 16 shots hit the target!” Fallon exclaimed. “That’s a 94 percent success rate. And the shooter was a better shot than me.”

The congressman went on to declare that “it’s a miracle President Trump wasn’t killed.”
“Corey Comperatore’s life ended when that damn gunman got on that roof,” he continued, “and it wasn’t the roof that was the danger, it was the weirdo that was on it.”
Fallon was referring to comments made by Cheatle last week in which he suggested the roof where Thomas Matthew Crooks shot Trump was “sloped” and therefore too dangerous for Secret Service or police to ascend.

“You know what else is dangerous? I find your appalling incompetence and lack of skilled leadership disgraceful,” Fallon argued.
“You are cheating today. It’s disgraceful,” the congressman added. “You should be fired immediately and return to working security at Doritos.”
Fallon’s comments were a reference to Cheatle’s role prior to being appointed director of the Secret Service, where he served as senior director of global security for PepsiCo.

Elsewhere in the hearing, Fallon asked whether there was a written policy on sloped roofs, to which Biden’s Secret Service director acknowledged there wasn’t.
The councillor also told Mr Cheatle: “You just said you had the capacity to increase security, you knew about the threats and you didn’t do it. This is horribly symbolic.”
“Here’s a satellite image of the Butler fairgrounds. Have you been there?” Fallon asked. Cheatle replied, “No, I haven’t been there.”
“You haven’t been there in nine days? You should have been there that night,” the congressman asserted. “The shooter was there two more times than you were and he had a drone.”

The director of the Secret Service received the subpoena following his failure to stop a sniper from shooting President Trump during his campaign rally in Butler, Pennsylvania on July 13.
During his testimony, Cheatle did not answer questions from lawmakers, giving answers that Rep. Andy Biggs (R-Ariz.) called “obstruction” and Rep. Nancy Mace (R-South Carolina) called “bullshit.”
Cheatle, who was appointed by Biden in August 2022 and reports to impeached Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas, has faced calls for him to resign but said last week he has no plans to step down.
Notably, it was recently reported that top Secret Service officials have refused President Trump’s requests for increased security over the past two years.
