On Thursday, he appeared on FNC's “Gutfeld!” Comedian Adam Carolla gave his assessment of the situation on the ground in Los Angeles, where a series of wildfires are ravaging the city and surrounding areas.
Carolla told host Greg Gutfeld that some of the results were not unexpected given the policies implemented by the far-left government.
Gutfeld: Democrats defend Karen Bass not being in the burning city. Because how could she have predicted these wildfires? After all, she's not a psychic, or Donald Trump, or Joe Rogan, or Adam Corolla. The three have been discussing California fire danger and forest mismanagement for years. And now we have one such psychic. Joining us from Las Vegas is Adam Carolla.
(applause)
Gutfeld: Okay, Adam, I have to ask, is the house gone?
Adam Carolla, “The Adam Carolla Show”: I don’t know exactly. Because I know that almost everything around the house is gone. But they won't let us go back to the area for observation, so I'm not sure my house is still there. There are little bits of information scattered about, and I'm hoping that I'll find my home there. But literally everything in front of it and on the sides is completely burnt. And I don't know if people know about that area of PCH, but it's littered with 25 million dollar houses and they're all gone as far as the eye can see.
Gutfeld: When you're talking about it, when Logan's talking about it, when Trump's talking about it, it's like these bureaucrats and this management class didn't see this coming. How do you feel about the fact that you were seen acting like this?
Carolla: So it's a new world order. They want to defund the police, but they never thought that would happen. They want to declare themselves a sanctuary city, but they never thought it would happen. They want to increase the difference between felonies and misdemeanors to $995 worth of goods, but they didn't expect that to happen. You should see this coming. If we don't, we're going to open our borders, but who could have predicted this would happen?
Gutfeld: Yes, that's incredible. And I think what you said best, this morning, is that you have a group of people who are providing practical solutions. But, Democrats, there are people who are saying these platitudes. They will talk about climate change, but there are no real solutions to the pressing problems you are facing.
Corolla: They're talking about sea levels in the oceans being rising for 50 years due to climate change, but the sea levels aren't rising fast enough to put out the fires they mismanaged. , that's interesting.
Gutfeld: Yes.
(applause)
GUTFELD: And if we're going to get rid of fossil fuels, what about those big wooden pole power lines that might have caused the fire? So it has nothing to do with that.
Corolla: What's really on fire is the power lines at the old dilapidated polling place that should have been buried years ago by homeless people on the hill knocking drugs and passing out smoking. It's like it's falling down and starting to burn. fire. But either way, they both land squarely in your lap.
But here's something to think about, Greg, because I know you like to think. They always talk about the homeless population and the unhoused population. And we've been screaming that we're talking about junkies, but we're talking about sociopaths, psychopathic lunatics, and schizophrenics. they live on the streets. Junkies live on the streets and are not homeless or homeless.
Think about this. I'm homeless now. Everyone in Malibu is homeless, and everyone in Palisades is homeless. All of the evicted Santa Monica residents are either not home or their homes burn down. So there are a lot of homeless people now. Are there people sleeping on the streets? Is there anyone sleeping under a highway overpass or in a refrigerator on the sidewalk? No, they all went away. Because they all have networks. Because they are not junkies or psychopaths.
So they reached out to their networks of friends, family, and community. Many people have asked me, “Would you like to stay at my house?'' Because the last time I came to the house, I didn't steal all their jewelry or prescription drugs.
(laughs)
Gutfeld: I have to go, but that's a really great point. Because we are given the illusion that homelessness is just like us and that it was not a lifestyle choice. No, they are homeless because they are cut off from everyone. It could be a mental illness, it could be a drug addiction, or it could be a mix of both. But you can't do anything for them.
Okay, Adam, I have to go now. Good luck. I hope you always get up in a nice place, warm and cozy, but not too warm. Thank you, Adam.
