A 6-year-old boy drowned in a swimming pool on the first day of day camp in New Jersey.
In the letter I received From FOX 29Liberty Lake Day Camp owner Andy Pritikin said in a statement that a 6-year-old girl drowned in the camp’s swimming pool on Monday around 2 p.m.
“We are completely devastated and heartbroken,” officials said in a statement. “Our thoughts are with the campers’ families, friends and loved ones during this most difficult time, and we respect their privacy at this time.”

A lifeguard found the camper unresponsive in the shallow pool, pulled him from the water and administered CPR.
He was taken to Virtua Hospital in Mount Holly, where he was pronounced dead.

An autopsy was conducted on Tuesday and the investigation is continuing, the prosecutor’s office said in a statement.
