A 4-year-old Nebraska girl nearly had her scalp ripped off in a brutal dog attack, but her mother allegedly tried to hide from police and hide her blood-stained clothes.
Liliana Stratman was rushed to the ICU after the Feb. 20 attack in Omaha, according to an Omaha Police Department report obtained by Fox News Digital.
Upon arrival, officers met with witnesses at the scene who stated that an unknown dog had attacked Liliana. Police said a bystander was able to separate the dog from the victim.

The girl’s mother, Daniel Stratman, 24, allegedly hid from police at the home of her boyfriend, Greg Preister, and changed her bloodstained clothes, which police say hid under the bed. Announced.
The dog, a Cane Corso/Mastiff mix owned by Playstar, was not at the scene when police arrived, according to a police report.
Police said animal control eventually found the dog at Prester’s home. The dog was then voluntarily surrendered to the Nebraska Humane Society, where it was euthanized and tested for rabies. The Humane Society said no illnesses were found.
“Due to the severity and location of the injury, we immediately euthanized the dog and sent the tissue for testing,” Nebraska Humane Society President Pam Wiese told KETV. “Because the injury was so close to the brain, it needs to be treated quickly.”

Daniel Stratman and Pleyster were later arrested on charges of obstruction. Daniel Stratman was also charged with violating a no-contact order after being arrested on child abuse and domestic violence charges in early February, KETV reported.
The police report also confirmed that Daniel Stratman was wearing a GPS tracker ankle monitor and was prohibited from seeing or communicating with his young daughter.

Police said the toddler was turned over to her biological father, Caleb Gomez.
Playster was later also cited for having a dangerous dog and having a tendency to cause harm to pets.
The Nebraska Humane Society did not respond to Fox News Digital’s request for comment.
