Connecticut Sen. Chris Murphy (D) tried to score political points against Vice President J.D. Vance on Valentine's Day. It didn't work.
Murphy focused his attack on an embarrassing mistake. This is an error seized by critics and even the White House as possible evidence of the intellectual deficit of Democrats.
Murphy was in it DemocratsLiberal experts troubled by Vance's Friday speech, and foreign officials whose vice president criticized various European countries for the brave oppression of freedom of speech, political movements and religious freedom.
51-year-old Democrat Tweet“It takes courage to lecture Europe on 'free speech' at the exact same time as the Trump administration is threatening Democrats with arrests. ”
Murphy provided screenshots of the supposed threat – Tweet It “is in favour of arresting the AOC on how to avoid illegal alien instructions if you support borders. [thumbs up] In the comments. Please let me hear your voice. ”
The tweet was posted by Lara Trump's fan account, not by the president's stepdaughter, who previously co-chaired the Republican National Committee.
“But we support your right to make such a statement.”
Murphy was widely criticized for his error, but that was quickly highlighted by a community note on X.
The White House's quick response account responded to Murphy in itself by retaining “fake news responsibility,” write“You're an idiot, Chris. It's clear that this page is not affiliated with President Trump, his family or the administration.”
I asked Murphy to check out Lara Trump. Official Websitehe will notice that it links to her proper X account.
“But we support your right to make such a statement no matter how surprising you are,” the White House account added.
Rather than admitting or apologizing for his mistake, Murphy doubled in a string of reactions to the White House.
“Ah, are you a free speaker now?” I wrote it Murphy suggested that denial of elliptical office access to the Associated Press, which was effectively challenged, was evidence of the opposite. “Next, don't pretend you didn't threaten the AOC. You did.”
“AOC is probably in trouble right now.”
In a subsequent tweet, Democrat Senators further demonstrated his loose connection with Murphy and the facts. I insisted “The White House is a “Gaslight,” and Homan announced on live television that he is working with the Department of Justice to explore the arrest of Ocasio-Cortez in communicating their rights to immigrants.”
Hosted by Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (DN.Y) Facebook Webinar On February 12th, we advise immigrants not to open the door when immigrants or customs enforcement agents come to look for them.
Contrary to Murphy's proposal that Homan worked with the DOJ to arrest Trump's border emperor Ocasio-Cortez. I said Fox News host Laura Ingraham wrote a letter Thursday to the Department of Justice asking if the Ocasio-Cortez webinar was found to “stricken our law enforcement efforts.”
“The AOC is probably in trouble right now, but we need an AOG to express our opinions on it, because we have a disability. That's a disability in my opinion, I'm not a prosecutor, but there's more guidance on that. It's necessary.” Homann has not mentioned the possibility of arresting New York lawmakers.
