Actor and comedian Jon Lovitz criticized students at Columbia University and other universities who are protesting against Israel by preventing their Jewish classmates from going to class.

What on earth are they being taught? Think logically, you shouldn’t be a sheep or be a professor. Please stop being taken advantage of.”

Lovitz’s post comes amid a recent surge in violent anti-Israel protests on elite college campuses across the United States. On some campuses, protests have taken on an overtly anti-Semitic tone, as demonstrators target Jewish classmates, including by refusing to attend classes.

At Columbia University in New York, the situation has reached such a critical stage that the school’s rabbi recently called on Jewish students to stay home.
Columbia University professors walked off work earlier this week to support anti-Israel protesters. The university forced students to switch to hybrid instruction for the remainder of the semester, a decision that resulted in tuition refunds being required.
