YouTube team ToyotaWorldRunners lose their lives in a heartbreaking car crash.

Tragic news emerged regarding two Canadian YouTube influencers, Stacey Toleout and Matthew Yeoman, who were involved in a fatal off-road accident on August 7th, around 7:30 PM, near Trout Lake in British Columbia.

They ran the social media accounts under the name @toyotaworldrunners, showcasing their outdoor adventures. According to Mark Jennings Bates, the manager of Kaslo Search and Rescue, the incident took place on a forest road while they were on their way to the village of Trout Lake.

Rescue teams were able to reach the scene, but unfortunately, one of the individuals from the vehicle was declared dead on-site, while the other succumbed to injuries later in the hospital.

The couple, who had gained a significant following—200,000 subscribers on their YouTube channel and over 74,000 followers on Instagram since launching in January 2020—were remembered fondly by the off-road community. Colin Stuart, a creator associated with Dirt Theory, expressed his sorrow, noting it was a huge loss for both the community and their families. He was reportedly present during the crash and felt he could have done more to help.

The impact of this incident is profound, leaving friends, family, and followers to grapple with the loss of a vibrant couple who shared their adventures with so many.
