YouTube TV, Paramount strike deal to avoid March Madness crisis

Sighs for relief, college basketball and golf fans using YouTube TV.

The crisis was averted.

YouTube TV and Paramount reached a deal on Friday night.

This deal means that YouTube TV will continue to hold CBS, CBS Sports and other Paramount channels on the platform.

“Members are happy to share that we have reached a deal to keep Paramount content on YouTube TV,” the streaming platform said in a statement. “That means you can access channels like CBS, CBS Sports, Nickelodeon, and more. Add-ons like Paramount+ with ShowTime and BET+ are also uninterrupted.”

On Wednesday, YouTube TV said, “Despite our best efforts, we are unable to reach fair deals with Paramount to maintain our channel on YouTube TV, and the channel may not be available tomorrow. “Hmm,” he announced. It is set to broadcast on CBS and other Paramount channels.

It caused college basketball and golf fans to panic on YouTube TV.

However, YouTube TV reached a short-term extension on Paramount on Thursday, and announced the full extension on Friday.
