Allegations Against Andrew Tate by Lauren Southern

YouTuber Lauren Southern has accused the controversial figure Andrew Tate of sexually assaulting her and choking her unconsciously.

Southern, now 30, states that Tate attacked her during a visit to Bucharest, Romania in 2018 when she was there to discuss business with him.

A lawyer representing Tate responded to the accusations, claiming that they “explicitly deny the pathetic filth” put forth by Southern.

In an excerpt from her memoir, “This Is Not Real Life,” Southern describes her initial dinner with Tate as enjoyable, characterizing him as “frivolous” and “attractive.” However, she later sensed something was “off.”

Following dinner, Southern claims that Tate and his brother, Tristan, took her to a nightclub instead of their residence.

She alleges that Tate forcibly picked her up and took her car to her hotel room. “He kissed me. I wasn’t expecting it and I wasn’t looking for it,” she wrote, adding that she eventually told him she wanted to go to sleep.

She recalls feeling very tired while Tate seemed to want to escalate things. Despite her repeated attempts to express her discomfort, he allegedly “put his arm around my neck and began to strangle me unconsciously,” continuing to do so whenever he regained awareness.

“I don’t want to share the rest. That’s pretty obvious,” she commented, indicating the severity of her experience.

After reading about other allegations against Tate, Southern decided to step back from far-right politics, feeling that those stories resonated with her own experiences.

She opted to release a chapter detailing her allegations for free, as she stated she “doesn’t want to benefit from this case.”

Tate’s representatives did not offer an immediate response, though his lawyer, Joseph D. McBride, expressed vehement denial of the accusations, referring to Southern’s claims as “pathetic filth.”

McBride further stated that Tate is pursuing a defamation claim against Southern for loss of honor.

Controversial activist Tommy Robinson, who claims he was at the hotel the night of the alleged incident, described Southern’s claims as “madness.” He recounted that, the next morning, he saw Southern kissing a door, suggesting her behavior contradicted her narrative.

Tate, known for his extreme views in the “manosphere,” faces numerous charges in both the UK and Romania, including rape and human trafficking. Additionally, he has been accused of threatening one woman with a gun and violently assaulting another ex-girlfriend, which he has denied.

Southern had previously announced her retirement from political activism in 2019 but made a return in 2020 via a YouTube video, expressing regret over her earlier, more rigid views.
